Handmade Quality, Traditional Craftsmanship
Cators is a British silvermaker with a quiet commitment to craftsmanship, proportion, and enduring design.
We create silver pieces intended to be lived with — objects for the table, the bar, the desk, and the home — each made with an emphasis on material quality, restrained elegance, and lasting usefulness. Our collections draw on the long tradition of English silver, while remaining relevant to contemporary interiors and modern ways of living.
At the heart of Cators is a belief that luxury should feel considered rather than excessive. We favour clean lines, balanced form, and details that reveal themselves over time. The result is a collection of pieces that sit comfortably in both classic and more modern settings, chosen as much for their permanence as for their beauty.
Our work is rooted in British making. We value the disciplines of traditional silversmithing, careful finishing, and the enduring character of precious metal. Whether intended as a personal purchase, a gift, or an object to mark an occasion, each piece is designed to offer a sense of substance, taste, and quiet distinction.
Cators also works with selected private clients and trade partners, offering a considered approach to supply, engraving, and bespoke development where appropriate. This allows us to maintain the same standards of quality and presentation across both retail and business relationships.
We are drawn to objects that are not simply decorative, but genuinely worth keeping — pieces with presence, utility, and a sense of permanence.
Cators is, above all, about making silver well.
Further Enquiries.
If you would like to see a piece in person, we would be delighted to arrange this in Mayfair, Hungerford, or Tunbridge Wells.
If you are seeking an item in silver that is not shown here, please contact us and we will be pleased to discuss the most suitable options available.
Please note that bespoke and hand-engraved pieces require time, care, and considered communication throughout the process. We are able to work from photographs and can begin drafting designs onto metal relatively quickly; however, hand engraving is a skilled traditional craft and must be given the time required to produce a truly exceptional result.
